This Man Saved 20 People From a Sinking Bus in 1976
Shavarsh Karapetyan was his name. He was a Soviet–Armenian champion swimmer back in the day (11–time world record holder, 17–time world champion, 13–time European Champion and 7–time Soviet champion). He was exercising one morning when a bus lost control and fell into the frigid water of lake Erevan, Armenia. Without a second of hesitation he leaped into the water. The bus had 92 passengers on board, he managed to save 20 (he pulled out more but not everyone made it).
He did 30 dives (10 meters in depth) and lost consciousness on his last one. He ended up in the hospital with two–sided pneumonia and blood contamination (he had cuts everywhere from glass shards). Shavarsh, this world would be a better place with more people like you! Full story here.

Pirate Bay's Insane Plan to Create Flying Server Drones
The Swedish pirates have started a new front in their war against the entertainment industry and the US as a whole. There has been talk on their public blog about launching LOSS (Low Orbit Server Stations) drones as flying servers. This would be another way to decentralize their infrastructure as they state on the blog post. Recent technological advances such as GPS positioning, remote control and advanced computer logistics could potentially make this a real possibility. I guess a new type of war requires new types of weapons!
Chernobyl Diaries: Coming This Summer
It has been nearly 26 years since the Chernobyl disaster in Ukraine. After the explosion, most of Ukraine was unaware of the massive accident that occurred. After several days the government evacuated the entire city of Pripyat within a day. This explosion was an equivalent of 400 nuclear bombs, and to this day very few people live here. Check out the new horror movie coming out this summer, it reminds me a lot of the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
Assassin's Creed 3: The Preview Screenshots
Being a huge fan of the first four games (not so much the first one - wow that game was repetitive). Things aside though, after AC2, everything became clear that this will be an amazing line of games. The new Assassins Creed is supposed to take place during the American Revolution. Check out the leaked photos of the new AC3!
Reasons Why Facebook Comments are the Best
I wrote a really good post over at Threefifty's site about the reasons why using Facebook comments is WAYYY better then using a lame in-house/CMS system. Its a really good read for those who are still trying to avoid social media on a large scale. You can find the post here.
Force Your Android 2.3 [Gingerbread] To Check for Updates
With Android 4.0 (Ice cream sandwich) coming out right away, a lot of people are wondering what is the quickest way to get the update without any complicated configuration. Usually your Android will check for updates every couple of hours and if your phone is rooted - you can adjust this to every hour as an example. I just think that is pretty overkill just to get this update ASAP. If you want to force your phone to go and check just do the following!
Swimming Pool Rage
The First Registered Domain Name on the Internet
Or in other words, the oldest website on the internet. Yep - the very first webpage that appeared on the "World Wide Web" was a site with the name Symbolics Inc (which is now defunct, but in its heyday it was a computer company). Mostly known for making machines like the 3600 series model work stations.
Here Are a Couple of Reasons Why Google AdSense Sucks
Straight to the point, don't get me wrong or anything - I love Google, so much that I even switched my WP7 phone to the new Android 2.3... but their Advertising network (AdSense) is actually a complete joke. I will go over a few points as to why it won't make you much (if anything at all) if you decide to use it on your blog or company site.
